Welcome!

Welcome to the Kids Biz Market, where young minds turn big ideas into reality! Our marketplace gives children ages 5 to 17 a chance to experience entrepreneurship firsthand. In a fun and supportive environment, kids create products or services, set up their own booth, and engage directly with customers. Along the way, they discover creativity, responsibility, and confidence while learning real-world skills that last a lifetime.

What is the Kids Biz Market?

The Kidz Biz Market is a vibrant, hands-on learning experience that looks and feels like a community craft fair or farmers market but every vendor is a child. Participants take on the full process of entrepreneurship: preparing products, designing displays, setting prices, and interacting with customers. Parents are there to support, but the spotlight belongs to the kids.

This unique environment helps children build critical skills like communication, decision-making, money management, and customer service, all while having fun and developing pride in their work. For many, it’s their first step into the world of business. For others, it becomes a launchpad for a growing passion for creativity and innovation.

What Can My Child Sell?

Children are welcome to sell a wide variety of family-friendly products or services. Common examples include handmade crafts, jewelry, artwork, baked goods, stickers, plants, and games. Services such as face painting, origami folding, or quick sketches are also welcome when permitted by the venue.

All items must be safe, appropriate for all ages, and created or prepared with the child’s involvement. Live animals, weapons or look-alikes, hazardous products, and adult content are not allowed.

The goal is for kids to take ownership of their booth, creating something that excites them and showcases their imagination.

What Does a Typical Market Look Like?

Picture rows of colorful booths filled with handmade creations, treats, and displays bursting with personality. Each booth is run by a child, or sometimes siblings or friends, who greet customers, explain their products, and proudly make their own sales. Parents stay nearby for support, but the kids run the show.

Markets typically feature table-sized setups or 10×10 canopy spaces, depending on the venue. Families bring their own materials, including tablecloths, signage, and supplies, and kids are encouraged to design a booth that reflects their creativity.

Each event includes setup time before opening, a few hours of sales, and recognition for every participant. First-time sellers receive a Young Entrepreneur Certificate, and special awards may be given for categories like Most Creative Product, Best Booth Design, and Customer Favorite.

The atmosphere is festive, encouraging, and community-centered.

Customers aren’t just shopping. They’re investing in the confidence and future of local kids.

Why the Kids Biz Market Matters

For families, it is a chance to nurture independence in a safe, supportive environment. For the community, it is an opportunity to celebrate and encourage the next generation of leaders, innovators, and small business owners.
